  In 1971, Dilgeer passed his M.A. in English, and Punjabi and Philosophy (in 1973 and 1978 respectively) and started teaching in various colleges in the Punjab and finally at the Panjab University Chandigarh.[5] He was awarded degrees of M.Phil. LL.B. and Ph.D. by Panjab University Chandigarh. Besides he has several other degrees and diplomas as well. He is visiting teacher of the P.U. Patiala as well.

  this much i knew and posted in my post of "Akhauti Vidvaan". one cite even says that his Ph.D. topic was, "Master Tara Sing : His Life, Times And Works" but where is it? i pulled a document and with a list of theses on Akali Dal Leadership, but nothing. then there was another one where the first reference was from an unpublished manuscript of a PH.D. thesis. spent a lot of time looking under in the footnotes ( it didin't had any bibliography ) but nothing. Dr. Pannu, Dr. Harbhajan Singh and others must have had pointed it out if he has hadn't, but i want to know that in whichc university is it.

  when i was in Patiala, a very talented movie-editer Mr. Rajesh Bhatia came as a visiting Professor and then he started working on his thesis, meaning it doesn't necessarily means that only a PhD can we requested. had he done a research he must have published it. try to find something with the Title. if he has completed his Doctorate - well and good, BUT, if hadn't then this would be the biggest fraud.

  I have also a doubt if he completed it because he has advertised about his published articles too. Had he completed it, you are right, he must have published it somewhere. I will look into it through my resources.

  i the beginning i always advocated the ideological fight and begged people not to get personal. but i was wrong, it's the public berating that they need. i was friends with quite a few people who were Readers in the university and was waiting for a promotion - Assistant Prof. and these illiterates start straight from Proffesorship . how ridiculous!

  That's true. I agree most of these people indulging in blasphemy have little or no knowledge of the scripture. I have a reliable source - my brother Prithipal Singh Kapur, who was a principal at Narur Panchhat - where Dilgeer is purported to have taught at the beginning of his teaching career. He can shed some light on it. I will talk to him tonight. He has also written a book on Master Tara Singh, so he should know whether Dilgeer's thesis was on Master Tara Singh and whether it was completed or not.

  both the entries on Dilgeer don't tell where did he teach or the duration of the service. if you read closely it stinks off something fishy. the very expression is not of information but that of something spooky.

  It says : "He worked as a Lecturer in English in colleges at Narur Panchhatt, Nakodar and Banga." It does not give any duration or year in which he taught at these three colleges. My brother was a principal in the first college from 1970-1978. I don't remember that he was there as a professor of English. But anyway, I will confirm it from my brother. He could be an unimpeachable source for information about Dilgeer.

  please do so. that the thesis is not mentioned in the list of his works makes one doubt. we can leave the layman aside but a research scholar knows the value of Doctorate, and wears it proudly. he's mentioning negligible achievements and even while talking about Master Tara Singh he doesn't even make a passing remark about his thesis, it's so not like the show-off that he is.

  i have been watching this gang closely since 2009, everything they say is either scandalous or downright ignorance. jiunwala's knowledge about "The Languages" left me agape. i couldn't believe that a truck-driver turned scholar could be so nincompoop, because so many of my friends are truck-drivers and all of them, without even exception of one, are Nitnemi and they astonish me with their understanding of GuruBani. Especially Amardeep Singh Amar, who has such a hold on the Banee of the Both GraNths. and he believes, just as i do, that Banee is to be recited aloud and not to be debated on.

  I agree. If you don't have faith in Guru and Gurbani, there is no point in reciting it. However, if you recite it aloud, you hear it also and the hearing of bani has more effect on you that reciting. Perhaps that's why Guru Nanak devoted four pauris of Japu Ji sahib to hearing (ਸੁਣੀਐ ). He said by hearing one becomes a saint, a peer, naath and always enjoys His blessings.
